The ABC's of Investing [FREE]

Here and Ready presents The ABC's of Investing with Cat Alvarado

This seminar was created by Cat Alavarado to improve your financial literacy! Trading in the stock market is becoming more and more popular, but unless you've studied Finance or Economics, there's a lot you need to know before diving in. Knowing some fundamentals before getting into the investing game is critical to protecting yourself from being taken advantage of by commission hungry "Financial Advisors" (salesmen) or worse still, con artists like Bernie Maddoff.

Learn the basics about the stock market and how you can use it to turn your money into more money. This seminar also includes access to the presentation slides.

About Our Guest

Cat Alvarado has an MA in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and BA's in Economics and Business Administration from California State University Northridge. Cat is also a stand-up comedian whose guest appearances have racked up more than 3 million views on YouTube channels such as Buzzfeed Tasty and The Reel Rejects. Don’t worry she’ll bring some humor to the seminar too!

She's invited Tyrone Jackson aka The Wealthy Investor to the party too. They are both here to give you the ABC's of Investing!

Keeping Your Power in the Hair Chair [FREE]

Here and Ready presents Keeping Your Power in the Hair Chair with KaMaura Eley, Local 706

For most actresses, the night before you head to set is exciting and filled with anticipation. Your biggest worry is getting a good night's sleep.

But for many Black actors and performers of color, the night before is spent preparing your make-up bag and hair supplies because you don't know who you will meet in the hair and make-up chair or what (if any!) experience they have with different textures of hair. That also means you might be getting up early to do your own hair so that you show up camera ready.

If this has ever happened to you, then THIS is the seminar to attend! If you're here and ready to feel confident and ready to shine, access this replay!

Our Guest

Kamaura Eley, a Primetime Emmy and Guild Award Nominated Hair-Professional with more than 15 years of experience, wants to help you get a good night's sleep.

During this casual yet candid conversation, Kamaura will share

- ways to communicate with the hair and make-up teams before you get to set

- how to stay empowered once you are in the chair

- how to effectively and respectfully resolve issues before you leave the chair
